Cbank exempts foreign currency debt to drug cos from higher risk coefficient

MOSCOW, Mar 13 (PRIME) -- The Russian central bank has allowed banks not to raise the risk coefficients for foreign currency loans given to producers of pharmaceuticals from March 1 until March 30, the ruler said in a statement on Friday.

“The board of directors of the Central Bank of Russia decided to not apply additions to the coefficients of risk from March 1 until March 30 for the foreign currency loans provided in the period to organizations producing pharmaceuticals, materials and equipment applied in medical purposes and for investment in foreign currencies in the debt of such organizations due to the spread of the coronavirus infection and its influence on the economic activities in some industries,” the central bank said.
